    There are many famous musicians, such as Mou Tianrui, Chen Tianhe and Pan Huaisu, who are leading the trend of Chinese modern music culture. The college of music Wenzhou University, founded in 1997, is deeply rooted in the fertile soil of Southern Zhejiang, and is impregnated with the essence of the music culture of Southern Zhejiang. It is guided by the spirit of "teaching with music and harmony", and is guided by the "thick foundation, strong ability and emphasis on humanity".
      The college has the right to award a master's degree in music and dance. There are 2 undergraduate majors in musicology and music performance. There were 346 full-time students, 313 undergraduates and 33 graduate students. There are currently 50 teaching staff and 43 full-time teachers, including 8 specialists and 18 associate professors. The Academy offers music theory, vocal music, piano, instrumental music and dance in five teaching studios. There are six research institutions, including the Institute of music art education of Wenzhou University, the Institute of traditional music culture of Wenzhou University, the Institute of piano art of Wenzhou University, the Institute of vocal music art of Wenzhou University, the Institute of Qu Yi of Wenzhou University and the Institute of music performing arts of Wenzhou University. The experimental art theatre of the College of music of Wenzhou University has 6 artistic exhibition teams, including teachers and students, choir, folk orchestra and dance troupe.
      College teaching facilities are complete and rich in resources. It has a modern music building of nearly 20,000 square meters and includes three large dance rooms, a fully functioning concert hall with two concert pianos, a digital music room, a recording studio, two digital piano rooms and 280 piano rooms.
      Under the guidance of the school's concept of "people-oriented, quality-oriented, service-local, character-winning and excellence", the college actively builds a "three-classroom"(i.e., the first classroom of regular teaching, the second classroom of artistic practice, the third classroom of service local) connecting talents. According to its own professional characteristics, the college takes the building of humanities campus as its duty, and aims at studying the local, serving the local, enhancing the students 'artistic practice ability, consolidating the teaching foundation of undergraduate, expanding the students' and students 'artistic vision, seeking development, and making steady progress in seeking truth and pragmatism. With "singing the main melody", "contributing to the building of the humanities campus" and "adding luster to the local culture" as self-conscious actions, the college has achieved fruitful results in building a harmonious campus, displaying the talents of teachers and students, participating in artistic competitions and serving the local community.
